Installing a cheap, effective and functioning light system for the LC70 I had ordered these Killerbody Light Holder Clips for LED Lights KB/48063 (and not KB/48053 like my package says) and have finally gotten around to starting to use them for the lights system I wish to install on the LC70
The package comes with its own hardware, but to be honest I found the screws too short for my liking, so I used longer ones.
These are the LED I use on all my RCs. They are prewired and can handle up to 12v. In other words, you can feed them directly from a 3S lipo. No need for light modules, worrying about waterproofing, nor about not having enough channels on your servo to feed them. I get them on eBay and are normally in packets of 10 or 20, but once I found them in packets of 50 LEDs. They are very well priced. They come in warm white, bright white, amber, red and many other colours, in both 3 and 5mm. Here is a link for the LEDs
The LC70 is not a very large body, so it makes working inside the front part of the body with my hands more difficult than it needs to be. I ended up removing the light buckets to install the LEDs and the LED holder clips
I only have the headlights and fog lamps done upfront for now as I have a plan for the front, side and rear indicators
As you can see, the rear is all done. Side note: Need to protect the lights back here as they will be the first to go while going down some rock.
Here I am checking to see what the fox lamps look like switched on by themselves
As for the indicator idea I am having … well …. When I'm ready with it, you will find out then haha |
