How to make a simple battery/toolbox for the back of a pickup
After measuring the available space (including height) in the back of the Hilux, I cut up some styrene and put in in place to see what the result would look like.
Seeing that it fit well, I then glued it all up, adding two support/strengthening pieces at the bottom (seen in the picture below)
Painted the better/toolbox and added some packing foam to protect the battery out on the trail.
Happy with the end result. Looking forward to driving this out on the trail 
Was not after the perfect finish. I like the used and abused look on a pickup. Next task on the list is to paint it. No idea what colour yet nor what I want the finished look to be. Worst case, I'll sand it all down as a "work in progress" truck |
