Tried the 4Runner body on the Hilux chassis, which is a custom chassis with an SCX10.2 transmission/transfer case and axles. Obviously, the wheelbase is perfect but I wish to try narrower axles for what I have on mind.

Today I started putting the body together. Just a dry run to see what it entails. I have no idea what chassis I will put this on yet, so I am in no hurry to ge it done. With the floor in place, the body does not sit on the Hilux 10.2 chassis, so, that idea is out.

I noticed the bonnet/hood is not exactly perfect.

I will need to rub the rear end by the hinge to shorten it and allow the front be flush with the fenders.

Then I started the doors. Nightmare hahah. They need a lot of messing about but I guess this is because the body is not mounted solid onto any chassis. I'm sure after I do that, it should be easier to align the doors in their place and allow them to shut properly.

The kit comes with magnets to hold the doors shut. That should help.

Maybe Killerbody can learn from this idea because I was considering gluing my LC70 doors shut. I'll try magnets first!
