Replacing the mechanical steering and all electronics.

After cutting up some of the plastic on the chassis, the micro servo went in real easy and used the original mounts to hold the servo in place. Added some packing to hold it down tight. Servo is not glued, I had to cut into the chassis plastic, something I did not wish to do in case I wanted to put the forklift back to stock format. To move forward I had to cut it up so out came the Dremel. I might need to play about with the radio settings to get a little more steer out of it.

The Hobbywing ESC fits great right above the steering servo.  Now to find a better place for the 6ch receiver. I had to replace the original battery. It was a 4.8v battery, not enough to power the ESC I'm using. I have a few 2S 1500mah lipo batteries I don't use much. Guess I found a new job for those now

Next up is to figure out hope to power and control the boom and lift. I'm trying to do away with the idea of needing an ESC for each one. It's not about the cost, but more about WHERE to put an additional 2 ESC. Might need to start looking for tiny ones.

Next up ... TEST DRIVE
