Building a camper caravan trailer has been on my mind for quite a while now and while browsing for parts one day, I came across these nice and cheap axles. The best part about these axles is that they are not locked. Both ends of the axles spin independently, just like an open diff. I did take one apart just to see how it is done. Very ingenious   I bought quite a few of these and they come in 2 different sizes. A 120mm and a 140mm version. I will be using the 140mm axles on this build.

I also came across these very affordable 1.55 set of 4 Injora wheels and tyres from here. They come unassembled but once I assembled them, they soon looked as good as they looked in the image I saw when I bought them. This image shows the axles and wheels with a set of leaf springs mounted. Perfect setup for this caravan

I have all the parts for this part of the build, but now I need to get some other material for the chassis and the caravan itself

Stay tuned…
