| Some more progress today. Really enjoying myself doing this So, as you can see, I cut the roof and gave the edges a bit of a twist, just for style and to remove some of the straight edges and box look. The next step was the windshield panel. Not an easy one as it has the fit the roundness of the roof edges.
There, not too bad, but will do more refining when its time to glue it all together. So this is the look I'm going for. Those plastic containers at the rear were for me to visualize a tool box which will be used for the lipo and electronics. The doors will be extended below the level of the chassis rails. I opted to work like this because it is easier to work with a flat bottom when placing the body on the workbench surface. And last, but not least, here is the "tool box/lipo and electronics box" The next step will be to start gluing it all together and sanding down the rough edges for a cleaner fit. After that, the wheel arches and lower part of the doors. |
