Layout progress to date. Decided to take a step back and take a few pictures today.

It has been a while since I started working on laying the cork underlay and the track, so today I wanted to update you all with some progress pictures. It is nowhere close to ready so be patient

Each time I look down this part of the layout I remember the number of times I cut my hand, burnt myself with the soldering iron and got my hands full of glue. There are five different levels of track and when I remember the countless hours I spent thinking on how it needs to be done and then see it ready, I forget it all

These two test trains are on a slightly complicated part of the track. It took me a couple of days to finalise this part.

There's a left-hand turnout, a right-hand turnout and two double slips. This is at the top level.

Same track as in the image above but from the underside.

I just finished this incline and the one in the image below this. They start on the main level and take the trains to the level above.

This will be the same as the above intersection, but it is still in its early days. Quite a way to go until I start this part.

Many have seen this before. I'm very proud of how nice this turned out

DMU on its way down to the main level to a dead end.

Another dead end here.

The upper level with a couple of sidings.

and I finally managed to automate a DMU running back and forth the new track I laid today. Exciting days

Stay tuned and don't forget to register for post updates...
