The Cricut Maker 3 opens up limitless possibilities for creative projects. Having successfully crafted a robust refuelling station, I pondered the idea of using the precision-cutting capabilities of the Cricut Maker 3 for the hard standing at the engine shed. It became evident that the tool's performance is intricately tied to the precision of the instructions provided – a mere 1mm discrepancy can make a significant impact, underscoring the importance of accuracy.

After a couple of trial cuts, I mastered the intricacies of the Cricut Maker 3 and gained valuable insights into its capabilities. Before delving into the painting phase, I decided to conduct a practical test on the track. I sent out a locomotive without a stay-alive, configuring an automatic route using iTrain. The goal was to navigate the Class 31 in and out of each siding within the engine shed, ensuring that the hard standing height was optimal to prevent wheel lift and power loss.
