Track time

Started with fastening the plywood to the frame and followed by gluing the polystyrene to the plywood. I had to get creative with what to use for weights

This is the layout I am going for. Chances are that some of this will change as I go along. It is easier to draw something on paper or screen, but when push comes to shove, it is a total different story. I will be starting with the red line, the inner loop. It is on one level with a few points. So I started drawing the layout onto the polystyrene and bend some track. It was taking shape........ but

… before I could do anything else, I needed to cut some cork to size and shape to glue between the track and the polystyrene. When I decided what the correct width looked best, I got crazy and cut up quite a lot and ended up with this look

I was just about to start gluing everything when I remembered that it would be a lot easier and better if I first painted the white polystyrene some shade of brown……

There go all my measurements!!!!!!! Shops are closed on Sunday, so tomorrow I'll get some paint and some more wood glue

Stay tuned and don't forget to register for post updates...
