Finishing off the outside wall cladding. Do you think it will hold?

Here it is, with the outside wall all finished. Hang on. it is missing something. Something VERY important. Something that will make it very scale and VERY personal

A SIGN!!!!!!! Must make one

Ok, so I am adding this wood here to mount the limit switches. Oh? I didn't tell you or maybe you missed that part in the previous post? Well, it will be motorized It will also stop moving automatically at the top and at the bottom. It will have one switch with 2 positions. UP and DOWN. Simple

Here's the motor I will be using. The wood under the motor (or rather a modified RC servo that can rotate 360 degrees) is simply there to center the output shaft of the servo to the hole in the wood where the shaft goes through. You can see a small piece of styrene on the left under the servo. This morning I added that to raise the servo a couple of mm because the shaft was rubbing on the wood. I will cut a larger piece of styrene to cover the whole area under the servo. Just wanted to see if the thickness was enough to eliminate the shaft rubbing.

There's the shaft looking quite in the middle of the hole

and last, but not least, here's the wiring side of it all. Tidied up the wring with hot glue, mounted the UP/DOWN switch on a bracket and its good to go

Next is to clean it all up and run some tests on it....

Until then...
